Got Brotox? Why More Men Are Trying Botox

Brotox for men in West Palm Beach and Jupiter FL

Botox has long been considered a treatment for women, with most men never considering it as part of their grooming regimen. But the trend seems to be catching on over the past decade or so, and many men are seeing this cosmetic procedure as another means of maintaining their youth and edge in an increasingly competitive and demanding job market.

Traditionally speaking, men have not been held to the same standards as women in regards to aging, but a broadening understanding of the benefits "Brotox" has had on some career-minded men has been making an impact. According to a study by the American Academy of Plastic Surgeons, the number of American men getting botox injections has risen 337 percent since 2000. So what is making the Brotox movement so popular?

A quick fix with no downtime seems to be a major contributor to men getting botox, with many stating that they feel a stigma associated with taking time off for plastic surgery. And many of those men are citing their significant other as being encouraging of the procedure. Brotox allows for a less invasive approach to reducing their frown lines, with more and more men coming forward and openly expressing the benefits of botox, the stigma of men trying the injections seems to be disappearing.

And it should. After all, none of us are getting any younger and with the increasing pressure of an aggressive job market coupled with the competitive edge youthfulness and attractiveness provide, the benefits of botox are encouraging men to strive for a fresher appearance than their peers in order to gain a financial advantage. The economy appears to be playing a major factor, too. One study points out that a youthful appearance allows men—and women—to generate more revenue than their older looking peers, which is an important asset in a leaner workforce.

Should you choose to try Brotox, there are some things that men should be aware of. Men typically have a higher muscle mass than women, meaning that higher doses of the toxin will be needed in order to have lasting effects. However, the increased confidence, workplace advantage, and positive impact on romantic relationships has many men considering this to be an easy decision that positively affects both their personal and professional lives.
