Profound® Cellulite Treatment in West Palm Beach, FL

When you arrive for your Profound treatment, we will start by applying a topical numbing cream and allow it to take effect for about an hour or less. At the start of your treatment, we will inject the targeted treatment area with lidocaine to reduce any discomfort during the procedure. Once you are numbed, your provider will use the Profound device to deliver RF energy to the treatment areas, melting fat and smoothing the skin. The treatment time typically takes one to two hours, depending on the size of the treated area. After your treatment, it is common to experience bruising, swelling, and redness in the treated area, and this may last for about 5—10 days so be sure to consider any needed downtime if you have anything planned after your procedure. If you are able to return to normal activities following your treatment it will not have any impact on your results.

If you would like to accelerate your recovery, there are topical treatments that your provider can recommend and you should continuously ice the treatment area. Some patients begin seeing results within a few weeks to a month of treatment, with full results apparent within 6-9 months. Typically, multiple treatments aren't needed but if a patient feels additional treatment is needed, we ask that the same area isn't re-treated until 6-9 months following the first treatment.
