Restylane® Contour for Cheek Filler

1-Jul-22-2021-02-40-10-59-PMThere's no shortage of dermal fillers on the market today, and it's now possible to achieve just about any look you want using filler injections. And now your cheeks are no exception. if you've ever wondered about enhancing your cheek bones but you weren't sure how to do it, the latest cheek enhancement treatment known as Restylane Contour is the answer, and it's available in Jupiter, West Palm Beach, and Palm Beach County at Supriya Aesthetic Dermatology.

Most fillers can address just about any cosmetic concern at this point. Whether it's plumper lips, filling wrinkles and other depressions in the skin, body shaping, volume loss, or lifting—there's a filler that can achieve it for you.

Contour was specifically designed for the cheeks in order to provide patients with low cheekbones or fat, muscle, and bone loss with a fuller facial structure, resulting in a lifted look that can dramatically change the shape of your face using just a syringe.

What is Restylane® Contour?

Contour is a hyaluronic acid filler approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for cheek augmentation, a procedure that's been having a bit of a surge lately. And with hyaluronic acid levels dropping as we age, and most of us experiencing some level of fat, muscle, and bone loss in the face over time, we will all start to notice a shift in the bone structure of our face. Contour is specifically meant to target the signs of that.

Whereas previous fillers can sometimes leave the cheek area looking immobile, Restylane Contour differs in its use of the Galderma's (the makers of Restylane products) XpressHAn Technology. Already found in the company’s Restylane Kysse, Refyne, and Defyne fillers—used for the lips and lower face/chin, respectively—this is the first filler option for cheeks to utilize it. The smooth, gel-like filler that allows for free movement also means that less may be needed to achieve the desired result.

How does Restylane® Contour work?

Restylane® Contour is injected into the cheekbone area, adding volume and smoothing skin by replenishing the body’s own supply of hyaluronic acid. When the amount of hyaluronic acid in the body is increased, skin naturally becomes plumper and fuller. This product also helps the skin retain moisture, which in turns helps ward off the aging process.

How long does it take before results are noticed?

Most patients see results only a few hours after treatment. Because swelling and bruising may be a relatively common but harmless side effect, your full result may be noticeable within a few days following your injections.

Who is a good candidate for a Contour treatment?

The ideal patient for this procedure will:

  • Have midface contour deficiencies that need volume and/or lift
  • Have realistic expectations about the treatment
  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Not be pregnant
  • Not have underlying health conditions that could cause a reaction. Examples include skin infections, rashes, circulatory disorders, or a weakened immune system.

How much does Restylane® cost?

Skin rejuvenation treatments are considered to be elective, so most insurance providers won’t cover the costs. To help make Restylane® affordable and accessible for everyone, Supriya Aesthetic Dermatology offers financing options via CareCredit®. We also accept cash, personal checks, and major credit cards.
