Vbeam® laser in West Palm Beach, FL
Vbeam® is a pulsed-dyed laser that effectively treats vascular skin conditions. Whether you have rosacea, spider veins, or port-wine stains, Vbeam® laser is a great treatment option. It can also target sun spots, stretch marks, acne scars, rosacea, cherry angiomas, and unwanted redness in the skin. It has been FDA-approved and used to treat these conditions for more than 20 years.
What is Vbeam® laser?
Vbeam® uses pulsed dye laser (PDL) technology to deliver an intense but gentle burst of light into targeted areas of the skin. There it’s absorbed by the blood vessels or melanin pigmented areas, removing the targeted imperfections. Most patients notice results right away, and it is clinically proven for multiple skin types.
How is it performed?
Most patients are reclining or lying down, depending on the area being treated. Patients often report a warming sensation during the treatment, although anesthetics are usually not required.
What skin conditions does it treat?
- Redness of the face and neck
- Rosacea
- Facial and leg veins
- Scars and stretch marks
- Warts
- Wrinkles
- Poikiloderma
Is there downtime?
Downtime is minimal and most patients resume their daily routine right away. Patients may experience redness and swelling immediately after treatment, but it usually goes away in a few hours. Occasionally a laser bruise called purpura may occur; this usually disappears in three to five days. You can apply makeup to cover any bruising.
How many treatments will I need?
Some patients may achieve full results with a single treatment. However, most patients may require a series of treatments to produce an optimal result. Dr. Tomar will assess your concerns and goals during your consultation to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to achieve your results.
Is it permanent?
The results achieved depends on several factors, including the condition being treated, number of treatments required, and the patient’s lifestyle. Any vessels or lesions that are eliminated are unlikely to return. However, you can develop new veins over time, which may require additional treatments.
When will I see results?
Results will vary based on the condition being treated. Most patients see initial improvement immediately following your procedure. However, full results are likely to develop in a week or two after your session.
Is Vbeam® covered by insurance?
Most insurance carriers do not offer reimbursement for cosmetic and aesthetic procedures. Some carriers will, however, cover the treatment of disfiguring birthmarks such as hemangiomas or port wine stains, and some will cover psoriasis and rosacea. Please consult your insurance carrier for details.
